Lake Tahoe, North America’s largest alpine lake, is in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, located along the border between California and Nevada, west of Carson Valley. This beautiful area was considered a spiritual site by the Washoe Indians before being discovered by American explorers Kit Carson and John Fremont.

Soaring, hot air balloon rides and helicopter tours are all great ways to take in the beauty of the Lake Tahoe area from an aerial perspective. Hiking, cruises, horseback riding and rafting are good ways to take in its beauty up close and personal.

There is more to do than just experience the great outdoors at Lake Tahoe. From world-class golf courses, to museums, to historic sites, to casinos and everything in between, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
